LEA SDS filters
Applications.
The main application of these filters is filtering slurries, whether concentrated or not, and high viscosity products (in excess of 100 000 centistokes), although they are just as applicable to water like liquids.
Filtration levels go from 25µ to 1000µ or more, with 316 stainless steel media.
Principle.
The fluid goes through the filter media, from inside to outside. Contaminants are stopped on the internal surface of the cylindrical filter element and are pushed by a scraper ring into the bottom collection chamber, thereby maintaining a clean surface for free passage of the fluid and an almost even pressure drop.
Periodical purges of the housing eliminate the collected solids with minimum fluid loss.
