SELF CLEANING FILTERS
They are cleaned without opening of the filter.
In certain cases (filters known as " semi-automatic ") they are cleaned without opening but
with manual intervention (for example to turn a crank)

MANUAL FILTERS
They should be dismantled for cleaning.They can be without changing the medium (like basket filters) or by changing it (like cartridge or bag filters.
