Quenching Oil Conditioner
Problem:
The basic problem in thermal processing consists in maintaining the quenching oil in good condition in an open or gas
blanketed tank. Immersion of parts into the oil produces scale, tars and various varnishes and possibly iron oxide powder.
This results in oil pollution, “varnished” parts with possible quality non-compliance.
Solution:
Use chemically treated LEFCO 4416-92-SS series cartridges to remove solid and also liquid contaminants. These
cartridges are installed in a LEFCO processing system including pump, pressure gauge, drain valve and filter body.
Use:
The filter size is designed according to the metal quantity in touch with the tank oil for a set period of time. The
filter is designed for continuous operation 24 h / day. Solid and liquid contaminants are removed and the parts offer undamaged surface after quenching: no varnishing and no more rejection.
Lifetime:
The NL 4416 SS and NL 4416-92-SS cartridges have a maximum lifetime of 3000 m3, (or 6000 hours, equal to approx. 250
days. This lifetime is based on initially clean oil and for operation in accordance with the design data (watch production increase not considered at design stage).
Advantages:
High capacity of cartridges. When changed, each old cartridge holds about 7 kg solid and liquid contaminant.
Quality of the processed parts.
